How long does it take to complete the journey?
A few hours, a few weeks … and a lifetime! One to one with an Activator, Light Up happens over three sessions (face-to-face or via live video link). First session lasts approximately two hours, second one hour, third two hours (and these all take place within seven days). At this point, you’ll have completed the initial journey (and be what we refer to as ‘lit up’) and you’ll be automatically invited to join our exclusive on-line community. Two weeks later you’ll have your ‘Button Up’ (approximately 45 mins), to chat through what you’ve been noticing and to turn things up even further. Over the next three months you’ll also receive a weekly email with a Shine Brighter for Life video, and more Light Up tools to play with. Using the Personal Journey Pack, you go at your own pace – whatever works best for you. We recommend taking a day or two between each session to let things settle, and completing the whole pack within seven days or so. Trust your own intuition – there’s no right or wrong here! How does it work?
Light Up is designed around a series of experiential exercises, which puts you in charge of your own journey so you can make sense of the entire process from your own perspective. Each step is designed to explore a profound truth in a way that both feels right and is useful for you. If you’re working one to one with an Activator, they’ll be by your side at every stage, so you can discuss and ask questions. If you’re using your Personal Journey Pack, you’ll have Mel and Sharon (virtually!) with you, guiding your steps along the way and encouraging you to continually ‘notice what you notice’.
What will I learn?
Light Up leads us back to what is already within us. It’s more about looking at things with fresh eyes than about acquiring new knowledge. It’s about remembering what we’ve always known deep inside and un-learning some of the conditioning we’ve been led to believe is good for us.
Is it like mindfulness, coaching or therapy?
No. And it’s not meditation or counselling either! It’s an experiential, light-hearted yet profound journey that is completed in full consciousness, with guidance every step of the way. It’s fast and it’s fun, it’s playful and it’s practical. And it equips you with a set of tools that you can utilise every day for the rest of your life.
Who is it for, can anyone do it?
Yes! It doesn’t matter whether you’re just starting in life or you’ve got great grandchildren. Whether you’re rich or poor, experienced or a novice, facts-driven or creative. Light Up is for everyone. Anywhere in the world. Because everyone has an inner knowing (intuition, gut feeling, light or whatever you choose to call it) and anyone can benefit from this journey. Light Up invites you to a whole new way of experiencing life, with practical powerful tools to deal with whatever life has to throw your way.
What does it cost?
Light Up is for everyone. You’ll keep noticing us saying that we’re all unique, each one a masterpiece in our own right. And that goes for our financials situation as well. This is why we have what we call “Contribution or Pay-it-forward” in relation to the online Personal Journey Pack. It’s an ethos we intend to grow so that we can incorporate it into more elements of the Light Up offerings. Contribution means that people contribute whatever they can, whatever feels affordable, for full access to the material. Pay-it-forward is for those people (or organisations) who can afford more and would like to help fund others. The Personal Journey Pack has a guideline price of £50, with an automated option to pay anything from £10 to £100. If £10 is too much for someone right now, we understand. Simply email us and we’ll be glad to give you free access to the material. Equally, if anyone would like to donate more than £100, please email us and we’ll be glad to make arrangements with you.
What happens after Light Up?
The most important thing, always, is that you continue to play with what you will find during your Light Up journey. The more you bring this, and all the other tools into play, incorporating the journey into your regular activities, the more your life will flourish. We recommend you join in the conversation in our online community The Light Up Place to help you stay in touch, whether or not you choose to actively engage. You can also keep up to date with further developments and options including on-line coaching programmes, residential courses, informal get-togethers and Activator training opportunities. If you choose to take the one-to-one route, you’ll also have an on-going connection with your Activator and an invitation to join our private Lights Community.
One-to-one or Personal Journey Pack, which is best?
We are all beautifully unique, which is why we have a range of different solutions to suit different people. If you love being self-motivated and independent, doing things at your own pace and in your own time, then the Personal Journey Pack is ideal for you.
If you love human interaction and being able to ask questions and get instant feedback, then the one-to-one journey with an Activator is going to suit you better.
Or you may decide to make your choice based on the budget you have available. Both options are equally effective. We can also offer tailored solutions in the form of workshops, seminars and talks for large and small groups, online or in person. Can Light Up work for children as well?
Yes it does. The Young Lights Adventure is helping children and young people to grow their confidence and self-esteem, overcome the effects of bullying and other difficulties, and to feel better and do better in a multitude of ways.
Billy was nine years old and having issues at school, and mum Stacey was concerned. “I could see there was something he was battling with, but I had no idea what.” Stacey loved Light Up herself so felt confident it could help Billy. Absolutely it works in business. Light Up is perfect for entrepreneurs and small businesses, as well as global organisations who would like to develop their leaders, lift their teams, increase engagement with their people and crush business goals.
